Musical talent often runs in families, which holds true for the Allmans. Michael Allman, eldest son of famed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, has the same vocal abilities as his father. So do three of his four other half siblings.
In 2013 Tampa Bay Times wrote Michael Allman “looks and sounds almost identical to legendary rocker Gregg Allman, but the son is determined to cut a path of his own …” When asked in 2012 by Miami New Times to define his music, Michael said, “basically the same style as my father, Southern rock-ish blues with a twist, I guess.” You be the judge.
