Indulge your senses in a wonderful variety of local options. Start with a Saturday morning Farmers Market were local chef’s show you how to prepare special dishes using items for sale at the Farmers Market. Take a self-guided tour of Polyface Farms, a family owned, multi-generational, pasture-based, beyond organic, local-market farm and informational outreach. Then venture over to Wade’s Mill, a working flour mill, circa 1750, built by Captain Joseph Kennedy that today sells special flour mixtures. The Back Door Butcher, a must visit, specializes in fresh beef, pork and lamb, cut the way you like...hormone, steroid and antibiotic free. Then end the day enjoying dining at one of Staunton’s wonderful restaurants.

Staunton Choral Gardens Wednesday Farmers' Market Special:
The Staunton Choral Gardens Bed and Breakfast invites you to enjoy the full flavor of Staunton and the Shenandoah Valley (figuratively and literally). Come and stay with us during the week, visit the Farmers' Market on Wednesday, and enjoy the wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and even a tea house in Downtown Staunton. We, of course, start your day off in the right manner by serving a multi-course gourmet breakfast. Your starter course will feature fruit or berries prepared in an interesting way, the main entree could be eggs (cooked to order) or pancakes (with fruits) or homemade cinnamon waffles, and we offer breakfast meats. We have side dishes, as well, featuring baked fruits or vegetables. Then . . . dessert (yes! dessert for breakfast). And, always, our dishes are served with edible flowers and fresh herbs from our herb garden (some of the herb plants were originally purchased from the Farmers' Market in Verona. Our three different mint plants -- lemon mint, chocolate mint, and just plain mint -- are from the Farmers' Market this year.

The Staunton Choral Gardens Bed and Breakfast also has a wonderful three-day weekend package. Enjoy our multi-course breakfast, then walk two blocks down to the Farmers' Market on Saturday morning. Stay for Sunday night and receive 25% off your Sunday night rate. We also have arranged for a free massage per room and we have discount coupons for additional spa services. Awaiting you, in your room or suite, after your massage at one of our local day spas, we'll have a plate of fruit and cheese waiting for you.
