| Statler Brothers Tribute |
 |
Staunton area natives and long-time residents, the Statler Brothers, represent a unique entertainment phenomenon. National and international entertainment celebrities, the Statler Brothers always focused on family and home – and their commitment to their hometown, Staunton. On a prominent corner on Johnson Street in the historic Wharf District, a round masonry structure stands, looking very much like a stack of records or CDs. The names of the Statler Brothers are cast into the top of the structure. Four oversized and massive brass stools stand on the top of the structure, a poignant reminder of the group’s tradition of having a time in each concert or on each television show when they sat on wooden stools and used their incredible harmonies to redefine gospel hymns, or muse about family and home. |
